About the Event

The OneAmerica Broad Ripple Art Fair is the kickoff to Indy’s summer festival season, and features more than 225 local, national, and international artists! It is also the Indianapolis Art Center’s largest fundraiser of the year. The funds go towards supporting our mission to engage, enlighten, and inspire the community through interactive art education, outreach to under served audiences, support of artists and exposure to the visual arts.Each year, we count on the support and commitment of over 600 volunteers to make this event a success. Benefits of volunteering include:
• Free admission to the Art Fair, good for both days of the fair!
• A free OneAmerica Broad Ripple Art Fair T–shirt
• Hours of fun, camaraderie and entertainment!

Volunteer Details

Volunteer positions vary by shift filled.  Please visit the following website and click “Volunteer Now” to view shifts and signup before signing up on the IA website.  Otherwise you won’t be guaranteed a volunteer spot.  The IA website shifts are just generic and are designed to give our members credit.  The real shifts are at the following website:

Broad Ripple Art Fair Volunteers

If you would like work at the entrance gates or the soft drink and water selling stations please contact Bethany TestaAvila by emailing volunteer@indplsartcenter.org and reference the Indianapolis Ambassadors to gain access to these trusted positions.

These things are provided:  A 2017 OneAmerica Broad Ripple Art Fair t-shirt, Bottled water, Parking at the Glendale overflow lot and shuttle service to the Fair grounds, Free Admission to both days of the OneAmerica Broad Ripple Art Fair.

Volunteer Attire

This is a rain or shine event. Most positions are outdoors and range from fairly inactive to highly active, so come dressed for the weather and in comfortable attire. You are required to wear your 2017 OneAmerica Broad Ripple Art Fair volunteer t-shirt (which will be provided to you upon check-in) there is not a changing area so it is suggested that you wear something that you can easily fit this shirt over.
