About the Event

The Million Meal Marathon is a single day event that brings together 2,500 volunteers to pack 1 million meals for the 1:5 food insecure children in Indiana. The meals are distributed to food pantries throughout the state of Indiana by Gleaners and Midwest Food Banks. This year marks our 6th year of hosting the event at Lucas Oil Stadium. Our presenting sponsors are the Indianapolis Colts and USA Funds.

Million Meal Movement Volunteers

On Monday, October 31st, we need help in setting up the venue for the event. this involves setting up the assembly lines and taping boxes.
On Tuesday, November 1st, volunteers are needed to assist with the running of the event. There are positions available for line leaders, assisting with refilling ingredient bins, working in the “warehouse” – closing boxes. Individuals need to be able to lift 30 lbs. Not every position requires you to lift, so please let us know if you are unable to lift and we will assign you to a non lifting position.

Parking is FREE
Lunch is available to those working the 11:30 to 2:30 PM shift on November 1.
Dinner for those working 5:00 to 8:00 PM shift on November 1.

Volunteer Attire

Closed toed shoes, jeans/ comfortable clothing , hair pulled back and an event Tee Shirt will be provided.
