Indy VegFest

Indy Vegfest returns Sunday, July 14th 1pm to 5pm at Gainbridge Fieldhouse

Hosting the largest vegan event in the Midwest requires your help!  We are in need of volunteers for the following activities:

• Event Load-in / Setup:  Help exhibitors load-in and setup booths; place signage; setup Indy VegFest gear in Cooking Demo Area and Youth Activity Zone; assist in other areas as needed.
• Goodie Bag Assembly:  Assemble up to 1000 Indy VegFest Goodie Bags with samples, literature, and other giveaways
• Ask A Vegan Nutritionist booth:  Assist Registered Dietitian Leslie Muse by staffing the Ask A Vegan Nutritionist booth.
• Floaters:  Float between arena floor and concourse; check in with vendors to ensure they have everything that they need; ensure vendors are selling and displaying only vegan items; help with miscellaneous assignments as needed
• Greeters:  Greet people as they enter, give out swag bags if applicable, give simple directions (floor plans will be provided)
• Indy VegFest info table:  Help staff the info table, talk about Indy VegFest, answer misc. questions about the event
• Ushers / Crowd Flow Team:  Help direct crowd traffic in the venue, and provide directions and information to guests. (First shift may help direct exhibitors to their booth location)
• Youth Activity Zone:  Provide staff support for the Youth Activity Zone, including help with crafts, story time, and yoga.
• Cooking Demonstrations:  Assist with cooking demonstrations, including setup, serving food, and cleanup
• Tear Down and Clean Up:  Help exhibitors tear down booths; remove signage; pack up Indy VegFest gear from Cooking Demo Area and Youth Activity Zone; assist in other areas as needed.

We are hosting a volunteer orientation at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Sunday prior to the event from 11am EDT to noon EDT.  If you are signed up to volunteer, please plan on attending this orientation so that you are prepared for the big event.
