Welcoming nearly 4 million visitors each year, White River State Park is your perfect urban getaway. The park is situated along the eastern and western banks of its namesake White River. The park covers 267 acres with seven world-class attractions, miles of trails and acres of open greenspace, there are distinctive experiences for every visitor.
White River State Park offers many different volunteer opportunities to fit each groups level of interest. The main projects center around keeping White River clean and trash free. Volunteers can indicate their interest in certain projects ranging from invasive species removal, river clean up, homeless camp clean up, park beautification, and much more. Seasonal changes rotate volunteer work.
The Indianapolis Ambassadors held their monthly general meeting at the park on Oct 2nd, 2024. This informational handout describes the art that we saw and how volunteers can help maintain the park.
