What We Do

Meet

Monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month. We try to find interesting meeting locations that you might not otherwise have occasion to visit, and the meetings generally feature a motivational, educational, or entertaining speaker (hopefully all three in one package!). We also announce and give you a chance to sign up for our volunteer, education, and social events, and visitors interested in joining will be invited to an orientation session to answer any questions you may have. After the meeting we have a social hour to give you an opportunity to meet other members. View our meeting calendar, or contact the Director of Education for meeting details.

Volunteer

Volunteering is the focus of our organization. We serve other non-profit organizations that need short term volunteer help. We offer hundreds of opportunities each year to volunteer for a wide variety of events and organizations. Due to the commitment and attitude of our members we enjoy an outstanding reputation throughout the city and enjoy long-standing relationships with organizations such as the Indiana Repertory Theatre, Clowes, Civic Theatre, Tuxedo Brothers, 500 Festival, Irish Fest, I.W.I.N. and many other exciting and positively focused groups in Indianapolis. Learn

We offer many educational opportunities every month. The Education committee is responsible for booking speakers for the general meetings. In addition to the monthly general meetings, our Education Committee arranges special educational events around the city that might interest our members. See our Education Event calendar for more details of upcoming education events.

Socialize

We are a widely varied group of people who love to get together with old friends, meet new people, and talk a lot! Our philosophy is that people who socialize together are more likely to want to volunteer together. To that end, the Social committee offers a number of events where folks can catch up with each other. After each general meeting we retire to a nearby restaurant, which is a good opportunity for new members to meet current members and vice versa. Also, we have a ‘Third Friday’ social at a different location every month where we can eat, drink, and be merry. The Social Committee also arranges other social events that would interest our members. View this month’s social events.
