The Tour de Cure is the American Diabetes Association’s premier fundraising event for participants of all skill levels. Tour de Cure is a unique opportunity for businesses, clubs, friends and families to form teams with the vision of a life free of diabetes and all its burdens. With strong support from the business community including sponsorship and corporate teams, the event raises funds for diabetes research, advocacy, programs and education.
Tour de Cure features a variety of routes designed for participants of all fitness levels. In addition to the traditional cycling event, this year’s event also features a 5K and 10K run and walk. The Indiana Tour de Cure’s cycling routes are for people of all cycling abilities and is regarded as one of the top multi-site cycling events in the country. Additionally, participants have the option to participate in a competitive timed ride. The routes are well-marked, there are safety marshals and safety vehicles, fully stocked rest stops, medical personnel, a complimentary meal after participants cross the finish line, and more.
Participants register and recruit friends, family and co-workers to join them or to ask for support with fundraising. Event day is a party to celebrate the fundraising accomplishments of the teams and individual participants as well as an opportunity to promote awareness about diabetes and the American Diabetes Association. This event aims to especially celebrate our Living Red Participants, who are participants with type 1, type 2 or gestational diabetes, through the campaign and along each route. Participants, volunteers, supporters and spectators gather for a music festival after they cross the finish line, featuring delicious food options, craft beer, live entertainment, family activities, and more!
