Volunteer with Indianapolis Ballet at our first production of the 2022/23 season, Balancing Acts, as a ticket scanner or usher! Balancing Acts is a production that celebrates “the father of American ballet,” George Balanchine, through many of his choreographic works. Performances run September 23-25, 2022 at the Toby at Newfields. As a volunteer, you will enter Newfields and make your way to the Toby Theater by following signage within the building. There, you will check in with the Volunteer Coordinator in the main lobby of the theater.
Volunteers will need to arrive to the theater one hour before the start of each performance. As a ticket scanner, volunteers will need to have an iPhone or Android with which they can download our ticket scanning app. Seating maps and other important information will be provided once on site. Parking at Newfields is free, but please be sure to arrive with plenty of time to find parking, especially for matinee performances. Volunteers will need to arrive dressed in all black or darker colors. Volunteer tags will be provided. Volunteers will need to stay 30 minutes after the current goes up in case patrons arrive late and need to be seated.
