Unleash your inner street artist and join us in the Community Heights Neighborhood to paint a ‘Traffic Calming Mural’ at Anna Brochhausen Elementary
This event is organized by the Community Heights Neighborhood Organization. A proud and vibrant neighborhood on Indy’s Eastside from 10th to 21st St and Arlington to Emerson Ave.
Volunteer Details:
- Anna Brochhausen Elementary IPS 88
5801 E 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46218 - Many volunteers are needed
Positions include:
- Setup – Initial setup of cones, clearing curb, setting up site, loading truck, unloading truck)
- Greeters – Manning the desk, making sure everyone has water, making sure everyone signs in. This job is in the shade!
- Event Documenter – Event documenter (just take pictures and videos with your cell phone!)
- Mixers – Mixing Paint – Must be able to lift 20lbs
- Cleaners – Cleaning tools with acetone. PPE will be provided.
- Pourers – Pouring paint – Must be able to lift 45lbs
- Squeegee-er – Squeegee the paint after it has been poured
- Roller – Use the roller to spread the paint evenly
- Glass Bead Thrower – Throw beads into the paint immediately after roller is complete.
- Tape Picker-upper – Remove tape as a final step
Date and Time:
- Sunday July 9th
- Shifts vary: 6am – 3pm
Volunteer sign-up and training:
- Register on the Sign Up Genius
- No experience necessary.
Volunteer benefits:

- Wear something you wouldn’t mind geting paint on.
