Salvation Army: Angel Tree Toy Shop, Setup and Distribution

Volunteers Needed for the Angel Tree Toy Shop
Every Christmas there are children lacking life’s vital needs because their families are struggling financially and cannot afford the expense. As you can imagine, it takes hundreds of volunteer hours to make Angel Tree Toy Shop happen each year.
Please consider joining us in one or more of the following roles:
- organize a toy drive,
- accept gifts being dropped off at one of three locations,
- help families complete their applications for assistance,
- inventory and organize gifts during sorting days, and
- help families select gifts when they come to shop on distribution day.
Distribution will consist of a shopping experience where families will select gifts at either our Eagle Creek corps (4400 N. High School Rd.) or Fountain Square corps (1337 Shelby St.). Date and times below.
We welcome both individual volunteers and groups of volunteers (please note volunteers under 18 years of age must be with a parent/guardian/adult) to help us ensure a successful Angel Tree Toy Shop program at our Eagle Creek corps or Fountain Square corps.

- Many volunteers are needed.
- Positions include:
- check in families,
- monitor the parking area,
- greet families while they wait for their shopping time,
- walk with families through the shopping experience as they select gifts,
- restock the shopping tables with gifts,
- and help families load gifts into their vehicle.
Dates and Times:
- Angel Tree Toy Shop and bag set up (4400 N. High School Rd.) – Assist with all the details helping with grace day during our Toy Shop on December 13 or helping with preparation for our bag distribution from December 16-17 at the Eagle Creek Corps (particularly looking for volunteers from 9am-12pm or 1-4pm each date).
- Angel Tree Toy Shop and bag distribution (4400 N. High School Rd.) – Come out to support our various roles and help us with parking, check in, shopping, loading bags into vehicles, and more (including bilingual volunteers who speak Spanish, Chin or Burmese) as we provide families with Christmas assistance at the Eagle Creek Corps from December 9-12 and 18-19 (particularly looking for volunteers on December 9, 10, 11 and 18 from 3:30-7pm).
