COME SEE FOR YOURSELF- NEW SPECTACULAR VENUE for the Indy Ambassador’s monthly meeting on Wednesday March 1, 2023 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm to hear all about the volunteer opportunities the 500Festivals has leading to the running of the Indianapolis 500. Heather Williamson, 500 Festival Volunteer Coordinator, will be present to give us all the information needed to volunteer.
NOTE: the meeting is now being held at the SILO Auto Club and Conservancy at 644 E Washington St., Indianapolis, IN with FREE PARKING ON SITE. You DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS VENUE! After the 500 Festival presentation we will tour the facility.
The 500 Festival, a not-for-profit community organization, was created in 1957 to organize civic events celebrating the greatest race in the world. Over the past 60+ years, the 500 Festival has grown to become one of the largest festivals in the nation.
Each year, 500,000 Hoosiers and visitors participated in festival activities throughout the month of May. Whether they were athletes running the Mini, fourth grade students participating in the Education Program, families enjoying the state’s largest festival for kids, or spectators being dazzled by one of the nation’s premier parades, they were there, celebrating the legacy. Opportunities to volunteer are needed for all these events.
The Indy Ambassadors have committed as an organization to service a Pit Station for the 10-Miler presented OrthoIndy. Sign-up prior to the meeting or at the meeting.
