Most of the volunteer opportunities involve being in the building to help supervise or assist guests. They could involve helping at the front disk for those interested in doing so.
Sunday June 19th, 2022 “JUNETEENTH BLOCK PARTY” 10:00am – 6:00pm and the grand reopening of the Madam Walker Legacy Center. 10:00am -4:00pm Volunteers needed to be in building during the day and to help monitor outdoor activities. A volunteer Bartender needed 4-7pm (Must have a valid State License) NOTE: Indiana Ave between MLK/West St. and Blackford will be completely blocked off. If you need to redirect to get to KVML, take St. Clair South, Right on Senate, Right on Michigan, and then Right on Indiana Avenue to KVML parking lot.
Saturday June 25th, 2022 “Global Beatles Day” 10:00am – 7:00pm 2 Volunteers needed throughout the day as extra staff for the event. Contact Jean Lambert for shifts 317-407-9280
