The 138th Annual Academy Meeting will take place on Saturday, March 18th at the JW Marriott across the street from the Indiana State Museum. There will upwards of 500 Indiana scientists, science educators, and graduate and undergraduate science students in attendance.
Volunteer shifts are available on Friday afternoon and Saturday Morning. There will be a complimentary continental breakfast before the morning shift.
Linda Buff, administrative assistant, will conduct a brief orientation before each shift, and will be the point of contact for the Indiana Academy of Science.
Volunteers for the morning shift should report directly to the JW Marriott, 3rd floor, by the breakfast area. There will be a short orientation, a quick breakfast and then you will be placed in your area by 7 a.m. *Please park in the parking garage at the Indiana State Museum and your parking will be validated.
The assignments are:
Helping with registration
Floor monitors
Troubleshooting
Help with set up and tear down
There may also be opportunities to on March 14 and 15, assisting with packing items and making badges for the participants.
Tuesday & Weds – March 14 and 15 – assist with packing materials and making badges: (ONE or TWO volunteers needed)
Friday – March 17 – 11:30 a.m. -Help with set-up at the JW Marriott (FOUR or FIVE volunteers needed)
Saturday – March 18 – * see assignments above* – (EIGHT volunteers needed from 6:00 am – 12:00 p.m.)
