World Food Championships at the State Fairgrounds

The World Food Championships (WFC) is the premier food sport competition globally. This multi-day, live culinary event showcases some of the world’s best cooks competing for food, fame, and fortune across twelve categories: Bacon, Barbecue, Burger, Chef, Dessert, Live Fire, Noodle, Rice, Sandwich, Seafood, Soup, and Vegetarian.

Here’s your chance to join in on the food-fighting fun! WFC has various volunteer opportunities for you to get involved in throughout the event. Volunteers receive a souvenir T-shirt, free food, and additional day passes.

As a member of the WFC’s volunteer crew, you could be doing anything from helping set up the festival site, to keeping a watchful eye on various entry points, to helping us serve championship food in the VIP lounge, or even simply helping to answer questions for everyone as they come and go throughout the event at our info tent.
