Growing Places Indy is an Indianapolis-based nonprofit cultivating wellness through agriculture & mind-body education. GPI’s mission is to empower people to cultivate individual, family, and community wellness through urban agriculture, access to fresh local food, and mind-body education. GPI is helping to build a sustainable local food system in central Indiana to help Hoosiers eat healthier.
Volunteers are a vital part of the success of GPI. If you enjoy getting your hands dirty, working outdoors, learning new skills while contributing to the community, they welcome you to join. Their volunteers help perform many tasks, including weeding, harvesting crops, seeding, and removing debris. Volunteer workdays are held every month, from April through October. No experience necessary, just a positive attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and dig in!
GPI has Individual and Group Volunteer Opportunities. Please refer to https://www.growingplacesindy.org/volunteer for details.
